The Intersection of Art and Faith: Art and Pie on Thanksgiving Eve // Wednesday, November 26 // 6:30 to 8:30PM

The art display at our annual Thanksgiving Art and Pie Event will feature three tables. The first table will be entitled “Art and Music” and will display lesson books published by David’s Harp (www.davidsharpmusic.org) that feature the artwork of Edward Riojas (www.edriojasartist.com). Edward Riojas is a Lutheran artist from Michigan who specializes in religious and liturgical art. The second table will feature “Art and the Faith” and will display children’s books that are skillfully and beautifully illustrated to teach the faith. The third table will be entitled “Art and the Mission Field”. Missionaries use art to teach the faith and often are given gifts of art created by the people they serve. This table will display books by the Lutheran Heritage Foundation (www.lhfmissions.org) that use art to proclaim the Gospel. Also featured will be artwork collected from the people of the Enga Province of Papua New Guinea.
