Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.
Here at Sholom, we’re proud to do our part—walking together to honor and support those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, their families, and caregivers. In the U.S., an estimated 7.2 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s in 2025, with that number expected to rise significantly. Now, more than ever, it’s important to raise awareness and walk in solidarity.
Date: Monday, September 22
Time: Gather in the Shaller Family Sholom East lobby at 1:30 PM for a short walk
Route: Around the triangle patch of land between Sholom and Nova School (just like this summer!)
What to wear: Purple if you can!
After the walk: Enjoy cider and cookies out front
Family, friends, and community members are warmly invited to join us. Staff assistance with walking alongside residents is greatly appreciated.
Together, step by step, we move closer to a world without Alzheimer’s.
