Lowertown First Fridays is a recurring monthly event that provides an opportunity for the public to visit multiple art galleries and artist studios throughout Lowertown, St. Paul. This event takes place on the first Friday of each month from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and features a variety of artistic showcases.
At Calendula Gallery, artists are invited to participate in Pop-Up tables in the Dance Hall adjacent to the gallery, where they can present and sell their artwork. Additionally, exhibit openings in the Poppy Room are often scheduled to coincide with First Fridays, providing further opportunities for attendees to engage with local artists. This event regularly features the work of 30+ artists, with many of them available to discuss their art directly with visitors.
