How to Read the Bible, Part 3

Everyone who reads the Bible, interprets the Bible. So, the question is only whether we will interpret the Bible well, or poorly. To interpret the Bible well, we don't all need to be seminary-trained biblical scholars. But, we do all need some help. The "How to Read the Bible" Summer Seminar, walks participants through three of the most important lessons a person needs to know to begin interpreting the Bible well. Part Three’s lesson is: "The Bible is a Story that Points to Jesus & Love". The Bible is a collection of books that when read together forms a broad narrative about God’s restorative love through Jesus. When read this way, one avoids the “flat Bible” mistake that makes every part equally applicable.
