This training will explore Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA), Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach (ACRA), and Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) as examples of underutilized EBPs in the treatment of substance misuse. The training will explain the process of implementation of EBPs at each organizational level – agency/administrative, clinical supervision, direct service clinical staff. The training will explain the what is necessary at each level to increase the chances of successful implementation and sustainability of the practice.
This training is presented by Julie Blanco, LCSW, CRAADC.
She has dedicated 33 years of her career to supporting individuals living with mental illness and substance use concerns, including 11 years as Integrated Treatment Program Manager (first at Community Alternatives, then at Places for People following the two organizations’ merger). Julie is certified as a Trainer for TREM, is Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) member, a Certified Trainer of CRA, among other licensure and certifications. Additionally, Julie has previously been an adjunct professor at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis from 2020 through 2022.
