Onda Brasileira LIVE at Evangeline's Bistro & Music House

We are pleased to announce our third performance of Onda Brasileira to the local St. Louis music scene. The duo features Susan Gottschall on violin and Dave Clark on the pandeiro (a Brazilian tambourine), and other percussion instruments.

Join us for a free live evening show on Wednesday, June 11, 7-10pm at Evangeline's Bistro & Music House, "an elevated New Orleans-Inspired bar & eatery, serving up Cajun & Creole classics alongside live jazz & blues music."

While the percussion/violin format is unusual in St. Louis, there are many examples of Brazilian musicians like rabeca player Luiz Paixao using it--especially in the North-East of the country. Onda Brasileira will be playing classic Samba, Choro, Bossa Nova, & Forró repertoire by artists like Tom Jobim, Caetano Veloso, Jacob do Bandolim, Pixinguinha, Hermeto Pascoal, and others.
