Blending performance poetry and shadow puppetry, “My Flesh” is a three part poetic prose piece which begins with a celebration of the artist’s fat body despite societal hate, which then explores the grief and healing that happens as a cherished body unexpectedly changes without intention.
Please join me, Arkay Adkisson, and my creative partner August Wolf, as we bring our collaborative work, MY FLESH to St. Louis for the first time. It is a delight to debut this long form poem of body celebration, transformation, and healing which is combined with the shadow puppetry work of August Wolf in our home base of Saint Louis!
We are so grateful to our hosts, STL Fringe Fest for our inclusion in this years festival!
