Amadeus

This year's 4k restoration of the Milos Forman masterpiece Amadeus, winner of eight Oscars, marks the 40th anniversary of the film’s release. A towering achievement, an opulent drama that re-lives the life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as a gripping exploration of envy, genius and obsession, the film stars F. Murray Abraham and Tom Hulce. Peter Shaffer adapted it from his 1979 stage play Amadeus, originally inspired by Alexander Pushkin's 1830 play Mozart and Salieri.

Lavishly staged and impeccably performed, it's a film that earns its place among cinema’s greatest by blending historical grandeur with deeply personal storytelling. Amadeus also won four BAFTA Awards and four Golden Globe Awards (including Best Motion Picture – Drama and Best Director).
