About the event

PACE - The Basics of Addiction and Tips for Working with Individuals with a Substance Use Disorder
You are invited to join United Way PACE (Partners & Agencies Collaborating & Educating), a learning series for agencies in our area. The goals of the learning series are to help increase capacity, aid staff as they are working with clients and improve collaboration. A variety of topics will be offered for all levels of staff.

July 17 at 10 a.m. - The Basics of Addiction and Tips for Working with Individuals with a Substance Use Disorder

Presented by Family Guidance Center, this session will cover the basics of addiction, including how addiction starts and progresses over time, as well as strategies from a Peer Support Specialist on how to support and work with an individual with substance use disorder. Narcan and fentanyl test strips will also be available.

Sessions are held at: United Way of Greater St. Joseph (118 South 5th Street, St. Joseph)
