Tea Cups in Colored Pencil
Friday, July 18 | All Skill Levels Welcome
Join us for a delightful new colored pencil class led by artist Wanda Taylor, as we explore the charming theme of Tea Cups! In this session, students will learn how to render a tea cup in colored pencil, with special attention given to creating texture, shadow, and the illusion of porcelain. You'll also learn how to draw a cascading cloth—a beautiful, flowing element that adds depth and interest to your composition.
After completing the base drawing of the tea cup, you'll have the freedom to personalize your piece by adding an element of your choice inside or around the cup. Bring your favorite teacup as inspiration, or choose from Wanda’s curated collection of references.
With over 20 years of experience in colored pencil techniques, Wanda offers step-by-step instruction that covers composition, blending, complementary color, texture, and developing your personal style. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, this class is a wonderful opportunity to build your skills and enjoy a relaxed, creative environment.
Guided lessons and individual attention are available throughout the session. Bring your own references if you'd like, or simply come ready to draw and explore!
