About Valmy:
Valmy is a St. John’s-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who’s been following the ocean and making home on the East Coast. Exploring the complexities of relationship, loss, and healing, she uses her folk-influenced music to tell stories about loving and stumbling your way through the dark. Valmy’s 2023 debut album, ‘The In Between’ weaves nature-inspired melodic swells and atmospheric harmonies with her contemplative writing and arrangements. Following this warmly-received release, Valmy was awarded MusicNL’s 2024 ‘Solo Artist of the Year’, nominated for a 2024 ECMA, and toured her music through Newfoundland, the Maritimes, Quebec, and Ontario.

About Jessica Spurrell:
Drawing from Newfoundland folk roots and contemporary jazz influences, Jessica Spurrell is a Toronto-based singer-songwriter. She is inspired by music that layers intricate, through-composed parts with thoughtful lyrics. Jessica’s debut EP, A Blessing, A Pearl, is a tender, folk-rock exploration of adolescent heartache, featuring striking prose, woodwinds, strings, and synth. Jessica loves to perform live, sharing stories and laughs with anybody who will listen. She has showcased original music throughout Toronto, in Montreal, Banff, and soon, in St. Johns. Jessica thrives on collaboration, working with artists across genre and discipline. In 2024, she and 7 others formed Solara: an inter-cultural music collective. Jessica is a recipient of SOCAN Foundation’s Young Canadian Songwriters Award and holds a Bachelor of Music from Humber Polytechnic. She has called many places home, including Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and Germany.
About Sherry Ryan:
Blending country-soul and folk with her Irish-Newfoundland roots, Sherry affirms her place as one of East Coast’s best-loved singer-songwriters. Her song “Stop the Trains,” about her father’s 1950s railway encounter with the infamous Wreckhouse winds has quickly become a part of the Newfoundland canon of legendary songs. Sherry’s live show captures her adventurous, open-hearted spirit and takes you on a journey to the places and stories behind her songs.
