Urban drawing beyond the dock is a flexible series of classes where students can choose to participate once, twice, or every session offered! Tracy will teach you how to create an artistic representation of the physical aspects of an urban area.
For each class students will learn how to draw simple to complex buildings, while paying attention to perspective, shapes/forms, mark making techniques, and understanding the effects of light sources for realistic shading, all the while enjoying some time outdoors. No prior drawing experience is necessary, this course is aimed towards beginners and any students interested in learning how to sketch urban landscapes.
This will be an outdoor!
Supplies You Need:
Mixed Media Sketchbook (any size, preferably white paper) or watercolour paper
Sketching graphite pencils
Blending Stump
White eraser
Pencil Sharpener
Ruler (optional)
Kneaded Eraser (optional)
Black Ink Liner Pen (ie/ illustrator micro fine-liner pens, black ballpoint pen, ultra fine tip Sharpie, or dip pen/India ink)
Optional Supplies - if wishing to add colour:
Watercolour paints, paintbrushes, water cup (recommended)
Masking or Painters tape
Soft pastels
Coloured Pencils
Dip pen, India ink, paint brush, water cup for ink washes
