Dominic Greene (violin) and Brett Vey (Guitar) created the Saltwater Strings duo in 2013, and have since performed throughout St. John's and surrounding areas. Their repertoire includes a variety of selections in classical, folk, pop, rock, jazz, and improvisatory styles. Both are established performers and teachers in their own right. Native of St. John's, NL, Dominic Greene is an accomplished violinist, having completed a Bachelor of Music degree at Memorial University, in addition to a Master of Music degree in Violin Performance at the University of Toronto.
Green has performed with various ensembles, including the University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra, University of Toronto Baroque Ensemble, and the Sneak Peak Orchestra.
The inaugral recipient of the Dorothy and David Peters Scholarship for Music Performance, Greene is currently the assistant concertmaster and personnel manager of the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra and maintains a dynamic music career, performing in a variety of styles, including folk, pop, rock, and jazz.

Hailing from Sunnyside, NL, Brett Vey is an all around musician. His talents range from composer, recording engineer, and teacher, to multi-intrumentalist and performer.
In addition to a Bachelor of Music from Memorial University, with specialization as a classical guitarist,Vey is currently the owner of The MusicBox and Achieved Media, a private music school and reording studio, respectively.
He has made appearances on multiple albums as a session player, having worked with artists including The Once, Redline, Chiquitita, Jimmy Lee Howard, Judith Morissey, Ian Foster, Allan Locke, Kurt Moyst, Sean Panting, and The Irish Descendants. Some highlight shows include, Rising Tide Theatre for a summer, MIA Awards Showcase with the Ian Foster Band, Out of the Fog with Judith Morissey, and mulitple festivals with The Vey's.
