[Public Talk] Robert Mellin and Doug LaPrairie on the Bowring Park Footbridge

Ever wondered what makes the pedestrian footbridge in Bowring Park so unique? Please join the NL Historic Trust for a talk by Architect Robert Mellin and structural engineer Doug LaPrairie. It will take place at the Bowring Park Footbridge itself, on Sunday, September 7, at 1pm, as part of our Doors Open day-long event.

This is the bridge that Ove Arup (famed for the engineering of the Sydney Opera House) called one of their favourite projects.

The bridge is located on the T'Railway between the Bungalow and the tennis courts.

Note that we may also walk to the second bridge designed by the same architects (van Ginkel and Associates).
