- **Event Description**: Save the date! On Sunday, September 7th, Doors Open is back.

This is our most popular event of the year. It's your chance to see inside some of St. John’s most iconic  heritage buildings. This one day event sees museums, historic sites, churches, and other buildings open their doors to the public, free of charge, so that we can appreciate the cultural and architectural beauty of our built heritage.​
 
Buildings that are normally closed to the public, or charge an entrance fee, welcome visitors to look around for free.

We’d also like to draw your attention to two special events: 
1) Architect Robert Mellin and structural engineer Doug LaPrairie will be giving a talk at the Bowring Park Footbridge at 1pm. Free and open to the public.

2) The new Heritage NL wood window shop at O’Brien’s Farm will be open to the public from 10-4. Staff will be on hand. Free and open to the public.

We are also planning to have shirts and tote bags for sale at the Anna Templeton Centre, and after the talk at the Bowring Park Footbridge.
