Felted Landscape: Beginners

In this beginners class Christina will teach you the tips and tricks involved in creating a felted landscape. In the first session you will learn wet felting techniques to create the base of your chosen image. In the second session you'll learn how to embellish the details with needle felting. Whether you want to create a close-up of flowers or puffins or a scenic coastal shoreline, the possibilities are endless.

Please bring a regular size towel and a hand towel to the first class, as well as a photograph of a simple landscape or painting that you'd like to recreate with wool. All other supplies and materials are included in the cost. We will have a selection of common landscape colours available for you to use, but if you'd like to customize with your own colours you can find more wool roving at Wool Trends on Hamilton Avenue.

Note: this class is for ages 16+; we will be working with sharp objects and needle pricks aren't uncommon.
