MPDC's Dock Jam 2025 is both a dock jumping tournament AND a kick-off party to celebrate the formation of our new club!
If you would like to drop in to see the fun competition and watch these dogs doing what they love to do, please join us! We would love to see you and reconnect with old friends and meet new dog loving friends. The kick-off party is free to attend…just bring a chair and a smile and be ready to have fun!
We will be providing burgers, hot dogs and cake (please bring your own beverages). And don’t worry, we’ll have treats for the pups as well! If you would like to bring a side dish or snacks to share, feel free to sign up in the comments of the Potluck Post.

Following the tournament and awards ceremony, we will have an open pool for "try-it" sessions ($10 per dog). If you'd like to see if your dog would enjoy dock jumping, this is a great time to check it out! Please keep dogs away from the pool area during the competition to allow space for competitors. 😊 See Amy Coxon at the Secretary's Table at the event to sign your pup up for a try-it slot!
Tournament:
The Dock Jam tournament is a unique competition where dogs best one another in catching a thrown object from the dock over the pool. There will be four splashes in 3 divisions (Guppy, Whopper and Jaws), with winners in each division. Cash prizes will be given to the 1st place winner in each division along with trophies for all division placements (1st through 3rd). All dogs will receive a commemorative medal for participating and will go home happy and tired! Entry cost for the Dock Jam tournament is $100 per dog.

If your dog consistently jumps off the dock but doesn't yet track or catch the toy and you would like to enter - that's completely fine! You may not be in the running for a trophy but your pup won't mind because he's just in it for the jumps anyway! We cheer on every dog and handler team whether you're big jumpers or end of the dock floppers. 🥹❤️ This is a laid back, no pressure environment where the focus is just having FUN WITH YOUR DOG!! 🤩
