The History of Sacred Heart Church - The Irish Catholics in Greenbank. What brought us Sacred Heart? The anti social behaviour around Greenbank in the Mid Victorian Era had reached such heights that it needed its own Church to serve the Irish population, and the dirt poor people of Greenbank. What did the church do to help turn around this area and build a solid community in a fractured Victorian society.
