Palaeography workshop

Have you ever puzzled over old handwriting? Ever wondered if it's a L, an S, or maybe even a Q? This workshop, hosted by Anne Mealia of Evergreen Ancestry, teaches you the skills you need to read old handwriting with confidence. We'll look at different local and family history documents from a wide range of periods, learn how to approach palaeography, and how to decipher the different styles of handwriting.

No prior skills needed. For anyone with an interest in reading old documents, whether these are accessed via the varied collections at St Helens Archive Service or elsewhere.
