🐟 Join us for our tenth Community Freedive Day!
Bring your fins and join the Tassie freediving community for a fun and relaxed dive day at Waubs Bay Bicheno!
It’s the perfect opportunity to meet fellow freedivers, explore new underwater spots, and learn a few new tips and tricks from each other. 🧜♀️🌊
📍 Location: Waubs Bay Breakwall car park, Bicheno.
It's a clear watered, sheltered spot on the East Coast centre. A much loved stay for many divers! There is plenty of space for parking cars, and access to the water is immediate from the carpark. There are shallow areas as well as a nice drop off for people looking for depth.
⏰️ Date & Time: Saturday 19th July, 10am start
👀 Swim through the shallow cave, look for Weedy Sea-Dragons or practise some depth at the Rock, with lines set up to 15m.
Note: The only thing we take at community dives are photos, so please no harvesting of abalone, fish, or crayfish.
🍉 Bring along a plate of snacks or finger food to share after the dive for a community picnic onshore.
🍇🥨 It’s a great way to connect with your fellow freedivers! (It's a bit hard to chat underwater..)
🧜🏻♂️ Everyone is welcome! This is a free meet-up and not a formal course, so please ensure you’re comfortable looking out for yourself and your buddy. Safety first!
🤿 Need Gear? Gear hire or purchase is available through Kaeo at affordable rates. Just message us on Facebook (‘Freedive Tasmania’) to organise in advance.
