"Moneen, a Canadian post-hardcore band that emerged in the early 2000s, has carved out a unique place in the annals of alternative music. Hailing from Brampton, Ontario, the band was formed in 1999 and is comprised of original members - Kenny Bridges, Chris Hughes, Peter Krpan, and Erik Hughes.

From the outset, Moneen stood out from their contemporaries with their emotionally charged lyrics and intricate, melodic soundscapes. Drawing inspiration from bands like Sunny Day Real Estate and Fugazi, they quickly gained a following among fans of the emo and post-hardcore scenes.

Over the course of their career, Moneen has released several critically acclaimed albums, including their debut full-length "The Theory of Harmonial Value" in 2001, which established them as a force to be reckoned with. But it was their follow-up, "Are We Really Happy With Who We Are Right Now?," released in 2003 on Vagrant Records, that really put them on the map.
