Taking a step is a whole body activity! The way you use your head, shoulders, knees, toes, et al has a huge impact on how you look and feel while you dance. In this workshop, we will learn about body mechanics and practice drills that can influence the texture, feel, and timing for your footwork. Then we’ll apply those dynamics in a partnered choreography, using different qualities to better connect our movement to the music and our partner.
After the workshop, celebrate Queen City Swing’s *Three Year Anniversary* with us as we grab dinner together nearby!

Daniel Verdon fell in love with partner dancing over a decade ago, mesmerized by the healing power of dance. The more time he spent on the dance floor, the greater his curiosity grew about the music, movement, and magic that embodies swing music. As a teacher, Daniel is able to break down complex movements into simple steps, all while encouraging his students to feel the connection of their partner, the music, and space around them. He is a regular instructor, dj, and emcee for several scenes in the tri-state area and is always looking to share the joy of dance with new friends.
