Would you like to find out more about the historical importance of the beautiful Tregargus Valley and its significance in the china stone industry. The Tregargus Trust is running a guided walk in the Valley on Saturday 10 May 2025 looking at the industrial history of the area.
Duration: The walk normally takes 2-3 hours. We are mainly walking on paths and tracks some of which can be uneven and muddy so decent footwear is advisable. The terrain is a bit up and down with a steep slope partway through the walk.
Meeting place: Meet in the community centre car park where there is plenty of room to park.
Meeting time: 13.30
Clothing: Please dress according to the weather. Waterproofs for the wet; sunhat/suncream if the sun is out. Please bring plenty of fluids if it's hot and sunny. Long trousers are advisable even on a sunny day as there may be places where we walk through low undergrowth.
Children: Any participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Dogs: Any accompanying dogs must be kept on a lead
Fees: We normally ask for a donation. Typically participants offer £5 per head but of course this is up to you. All the funds go towards our work in the valley which is managed by the Tregargus Trust, a small group of local volunteers.
If you are definitely attending please click the ‘going’ button so that we have a rough idea of numbers. Thank you
