The heartwarming, award-winning smash hit Broadway musical based on the true story of a small town that welcomed the world comes to Blue Mountains Theatre.
Come From Away chronicles the real-life experiences of the people of Gander, Newfoundland, and the almost 7000 airline passengers who were forced to land there when US air space was closed following the events of September 11, 2001. A diverse cast of actors tell the story of both the ‘Islanders’ and the ‘Plane People’, revealing the fear and uncertainty that came with the terrorist attacks – as well as the profound generosity and compassion of strangers.
Blue Mountains Musical Society delivers this moving narrative of human connection, resilience, and the unifying force of compassion amid tragedy. An energetic ensemble cast and Celtic-inspired score make Come From Away an unmissable experience and a first-of-its-kind production at Blue Mountains Theatre. This is the first time this extraordinary musical will have come to the Blue Mountains.
