Springfield, we need you. 💛
Join us Tuesday, July 16th at the Springfield Park District Board Meeting and help us speak up for the future of Robin Roberts Stadium — a cherished community landmark and home of the Lucky Horseshoes.
Our nonprofit foundation is working to transition ownership of RRS with the City as a pass-through, so we can finally give this historic ballpark the investment, care, and programming it deserves.
🛑 Why it matters:
Tax dollars are already being allocated for this facility — yet it's at risk of ending up like Chamberlain Park, shuttered and silent, despite the community’s investment.
✅ What we’re proposing:
• Full nonprofit operation of RRS
• Field turf upgrades for year-round use
• Expanded programming and events
• ADA seating and critical safety improvements
• Preservation of the stadium’s historic legacy
More use. More community events. More quality of life.
This is bigger than baseball. It’s about protecting a public space that belongs to all of us.
