Walk with Kurung Allan, Minjungbal / Mununjali (Tweed/Beaudesert ancestry with connections across the Gold Coast, Logan, Brisbane and Beaudesert region) Traditional Custodian and Elder of the Yuggara and Bundjalung Nations. Uncle Allan is a descendant of Queen Nelly and Bilin Bilin/Jackey jackey, the King of Logan and Pimpama,Emily and William Williams of Knapps Creek on his mother's side and of Uncle John & Aunty Dolly Lena on his father's side. Uncle Allan shares Indigenous cultural awareness, and his knowledge of language, art, Ceremony, mindfulness, hidden histories, protocol, music, dance, and bush tucker. Springbrook is an important site with many culturally significant species and sacred sites. On this walk you will learn to see through Aboriginal eyes and foster a deeper connection, understanding, and respect for Country.
Time: 10-11am
Location: Meet at the Settlement Day Use Area and walk within the National Park around the Purlingbrook Falls section.
Morning tea will provided after at The Settlement Day Use Area shelters.
