Scandal hits the summer heat in Spokane - and she’s wearing six-inch heels. On June’s Friday the 13th, the girls, ghouls, and gender rebels of The Vaude Villains are crawling out from under the neon haze of the underground to give you the Pride your mother warned you about: smoking hot burlesque, scandalous drag and sinful debauchery.
They said it was dangerous to express yourself - so we’re doing it even louder, in leather and lace. Our lineup of bombshell burlesquers and drag provocateurs will be serving you pulp paper glamour with a side of subversion: picture fishnet femme fatales with switchblades in their garters, drag queens with cigarettes dangling from painted lips, and queer folks too slick to be caught and too fabulous to care.
They called us a menace; they said we were corrupting the youth; and doll, they were absolutely right. Come join the corruption, it’s hotter over here!
This show is a fuck you to every time we were told to tone it down, cover it up, and shut up. Instead, we’re powdering our noses, licking our lips, and turning the volume all the way up. Drag and burlesque have always been a little dangerous, a little forbidden - and that’s exactly why we thrive on a night like this! Pride isn’t just about rainbows, it’s about owning the things that made us outcasts and turning them into power - it’s about rising from the ashes, dancing in the dark, and knowing you’re never alone in the shadows.
