27th Annual ChalkArtWalk
Date: June 14th, 2025

Registration Location: 5401 N Market, Hillyard, WA (This is on an empty lot)
Step Into a World of Dreams:
Join us at the 27th Annual ChalkArtWalk, where the sidewalks of Hillyard transform into a vibrant tapestry of dreams and imagination.
This free contest is open to all ages, inviting artists and dreamers alike to bring their visions to life using only chalk. With the theme of "DREAMS," let your creativity take flight on our specially designed sidewalks.
Rules and thoughts for Participation: Using ONLY Chalk
1. Chalk Only: All artwork must be created using chalk. No other materials or mediums are allowed. This ensures a uniform and cohesive artistic environment.
2. No Permanent Markers or Paints: Participants are prohibited from using permanent markers, paints, or any other non-chalk substances. This helps to maintain the integrity of the event and the sidewalks.
3. Chalk Types: Feel free to use any type of chalk, including sidewalk chalk, pastel or other color chalk, or any other chalk-only products. Chalk paint is NOT permitted, you can make your own (kind of) with chalk dust/shavings and water. Experimentation with texture, ways to use, and color is encouraged!
4. Respect the Space: Please only create your artwork within your designated space and refrain from extending beyond the boundaries set by event organizers. This helps to allow the public to enjoy local merchants as well as admire your artworks!
5. Clean-Up: After the event, participants are encouraged to leave their areas clean, ensuring that all chalk remnants are contained within the designated zones.
6.“Fix-it” with HAIRSPRAY so your art will last longer, this allows for regular foot traffic and light rain to dust the drawing without to much damage. This is something you can bring or may be already being shared around the event!
