Nature Jubilee – Longest Day of the year celebration. Why not spend the time in nature? We will have Nature-filled activities for the whole family to participate in! The events will be all over Clay County!
Why not spend the time in nature? We will have Nature filled activities for the whole family to participate in! The events will be all over Clay County! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Come for all or one. Choose your adventure!
9:30-10:30am– Turtle Movement– Scharnberg Park shelter by the beach. Bring your mat or blanket, learn about all things turtles while doing some turtle stretching!
11am-12:30pm- Canoeing and Pond Dipping- Scharnberg Park shelter by the beach
2-4pm- Enjoy the park with activities-Oneota Park – Great Plains Zoomobile, Kindermusik at the Lakes, NatureReads Hammocking, Shelter building, Scavenger hunt, Prairie Flower Crowns
3-4pm -Songs of the Sun– Oneota Park- Kindermusik at the Lakes
4-5pm- Songs of the Sun – Oneota Park - Kindermusik at the Lakes
6-7pm – Creature Comfort Toad Abode– Oneota Park- Learn about Toads and Frogs. Build a take home dwelling.
8:30-9:15pm- Making the most of a Sunset-Schmerse Wildlife Area- Sunset Watch Party! Where there is a clear view of the western sky. Set chairs out or stretch out a blanket on the ground.
9:30-10:30 pm – Firefly Story, Hunt and Hike – Schmerse Wildlife Area- Explore the nature’s flashlight! Firefly fun! Bring a flashlight and exploring attitude!
