Take-Home Project: Each participant will create and take home their own unique mandala design.
Quilters everywhere love the excitement of free-motion quilting, and it’s easier than you think! In the morning session, you will learn how to create flowing designs by connecting simple elements with continuous lines, traveling across the quilt, and filling specific areas with confidence. Discover how drawing and muscle memory contribute to beautiful free-motion quilting, and use rulers and other tools to achieve stunning lines and background fills.
After a lunch break, you’ll return for the afternoon session and put your new skills into practice by designing and stitching your own unique mandala. Mandalas are a beautiful and fun trend in quilting today! You will explore different ways to build these mesmerizing designs using symmetry, creativity, and simple doodles as a starting point. With guidance, you will learn how to develop intricate mandalas by layering shapes, patterns, and movement, resulting in a one-of-a-kind quilted masterpiece.
Even though you will be sharing a machine with a partner, each of you will leave with your own stunning and unique mandala design—a beautiful souvenir of your quilting journey!

-Fabric and thread for your free-motion quilting and mandala project
-Instruction on free-motion techniques, symmetry, design, and quilting execution
