Join us for Part II of our American Revolution lecture series as we turn our attention to the dramatic journey of General Rochambeau and the French army, right through the heart of Southington in June 1781.
This lively program explores the powerful Franco-American alliance that helped win the war, the daily life of French soldiers on the march, and how one quiet New England town played a key role on the road to Yorktown. We’ll explore the real Southington campsite, uniforms, food, music, and even the legendary ball at Barnes Tavern—with historic maps, visuals, and artifacts to bring the story to life.
