Up Around the Sun is the instrumental acoustic duo of Tim Kerr (Big Boys, Poison 13, Monkeywrench, etc.) and Jerry Hagins (Barn Owls, Stovetop Rangers, Rusty Nail String Band, etc.), weaving together traditional melodies with clawhammer banjo, open-tuned guitar, and fiddle. Tim Kerr’s musical legacy runs deep: from the punk/funk revolution of the Big Boys, to genre-bending projects like Lord High Fixers and Jack O' Fire, he’s long pushed the boundaries of punk, blues, and soul.
