The 6pm show is sold out, so we are adding a 2pm show for the folks who couldn't get tickets to the 6pm show. That makes sense, doesn't it?
Javier Mendoza, aka Hobo Cane, has made quite a name for himself in the past twenty years or so. In STL we know him and love him. When he was younger and getting started, he played with Jim Peters a lot. Then time went by, and circumstances changed. People were getting married, having babies and doing different things. Both men were always playing music, but their days playing together regularly were pretty much done. Jim has been playing with a lot of different people, but his primary gig is with The Funky Butt Brass Band as the lead guitar. He also plays with Emily Wallace a lot. Javier lives in Nashville where his family has their home base. But just like riding a bike, they will play together and pick it up right where they left off. Maybe once or twice a year you can see these two playing together if you happen to be free that night. Well, we hope that you are free to come see them play together on August 10th!
It's a Sunday show at 2pm. The 6pm show sold out, so we added another show. A 2pm show is about perfect for getting out of the heat and we will crank up the AC for ya. Enjoy an afternoon show and then go downstairs and have a drink for a lovely Sunday.
This will be two old friends playing music together. Two guys that have been friends for decades, not just years. They are both master musicians and can do just about anything. They will likely have someone to keep the beat, but it will be Javier and Jim out front, sitting on chairs with guitars in their laps, belting out tunes. In the intimate setting of Jack's Joint, it will feel like a living room show, and essentially, it is.
This one will also sell out quick, so get those tickets today!
