Southgate Community Players is holding auditions for MTI’s Broadway Junior Revue: Pure Imagination on Monday, May 12th at 6pm and Tuesday, May 13th at 6pm at the Corner Playhouse, 12671 Dix-Toledo in Southgate. You must register for a timeslot in advance of auditions. Walk-in auditions will only be allowed if the production team can make time with no guarantees. For the sake of other patrons, please only have your child audition once.

Each child auditioning must prepare a song of their choice from a musical (only restriction is appropriate content for young audiences) to sing at auditions.
There will be a short dance taught during auditions.
Rehearsals will take place on a weekly basis (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays). The structure will be as follows:
Mondays: Vocals
Tuesdays: Dance
Thursdays: Review
Each week throughout the summer will have certain numbers assigned to be worked on. Please make sure to list ALL POTENTIAL CONFLICTS on your child’s audition form. They will not be considered for any numbers for the weeks they cannot make. Please make sure to look at the rehearsal schedule thoroughly. If your child has conflicts that come up during the summer and were originally cast in the numbers called, the production team reserves the right to remove them from that number and will attempt to add them to a different number that is being taught at a future date, with no guarantees. Make-up sessions will be done on a case by case basis depending on the situation as to why a cast member was unable to attend the weeks they were called.
This is a Junior production. Age range is 5-18 years at the time of auditions. This show is geared towards the younger age range, BUT has multiple solos that are fit for the older age range. Roles will be played as the gender written, but some actors may be asked to play other genders outside of their own. This cast will be a large cast, with many opportunities for ensemble members as well as featured solos. At this time, the cast size does not have a finalized number, but the production team reserves the right to choose a cast size that best fits the production.
Production dates are August 14th-17th.
