Urban Learners' director Andy Costa will be speaking on the creation and development of exciting new project The Museum of Brutalist Architecture.
MoBA aims to stimulate awareness of Brutalist architecture, amplify its cultural and heritage value, and to explore, record and celebrate the communities that live near or within these buildings. Via MoBA, you can connect with personal histories attached to postmodernism, explore a global map of brutalist sites, engage in the collections and access support opportunities and learning resources. Currently an online resource, there are ambitions to create a physical as well as digital space.
Andy Costa is a practicing architect, civic design advocate and educator with strategic design expertise and leadership skills. Andy has extensive knowledge of art and architecture both in the UK and internationally, is a national awards juror and lecturer for architecture, interior architecture and urban landscape students at Ravensbourne University. Andy has previously also been chair of trustees for an architectural charity, and advocates for a fairer and more inclusive society.
