Celebrate solstice in the lungs of the city centre!
Share stories and enjoy nature at its peak with like-minded people. We’ll start with a drink of homemade cordial followed by a sharing ‘potluck’ style picnic. Under an ancient tree we’ll relax and reset, tuning into our environment and the energies of summer. During the gathering, Lucie will guide you to create colourful woven sculptures using old tree branches and yarn.
Included in your ticket
All materials and tuition to create your woven tree branch piece will be provided, homemade cordial drink on arrival and a slice of cake, as well as a comfy picnic set-up area for us to hang out in.
Please bring along a small dish to share with the group for the picnic, ideally vegetarian or vegan.
About Lucie
Lucie is a conceptual artist and educator based in Hampshire. Through art she explores innate connections between the human condition and the landscape. She believes deeply in the healing power of nature.
Lucie works with communities, organisations and individuals around Hampshire. She studied her BA in Fine Art at Arts University Plymouth and is currently studying a Masters in Contemporary Art and Archaeology. Lucie regularly exhibits in Hampshire and beyond.

Accessibility information
We will be outside in Southampton Common (exact location TBC) under a shaded tree. Please bring sunglasses, a sun hat and sun cream just in case.
There is an accessible toilet at the Common Play Area which will be a short distance from where the event will be taking place.
