St Denys Carnival Presents: Down by the Bayou

St Denys Carnival is pleased to present ‘Down by the Bayou’, an afternoon and evening of live music at The South Western Arms, Adelaide Road.

Entry is free and the music runs from 3pm ‘til late. Come and sample some of the pub’s great selection of beers and unwind after the Carnival whilst listening to some of Southampton’s finest.

Featuring: Red Star Choir, Devin Valentine, Guillotine Union Boys, Jamie Kiss, Down by the Bayou and 9 Lives.

Getting there:

By train - the pub is next to the Adelaide Road exit at St Denys Station (care: the station does not have step-free access and a reduced service may be running due to the bank holiday so check times first)

On foot - the pub is less than five minutes’ walk from the Carnival finish at St Denys Community Centre and all of St Denys and much of Portswood’s high street is 10-15 minutes’ walk from them.

By bus - the nearest bus stop is St Denys Church, served by the Blue Star No. 20.

By car/taxi - access is from St Denys Road. If driving down Adelaide Road, please allow extra time in case the level crossing barriers are down.
