RYA Day Skipper Evening Navigation/Theory Course

Learn to Navigate
This course will introduce you to the navigational elements of sailing and take you one step closer to chartering and skippering a sailing yacht or motor boat. You’ll learn how to use a chart, plan a voyage, understand tides, interpret the shipping forecast and be safe on the water.
No previous knowledge needed. The emphasis is on confidence to use the theory rather than tick a box and say "course done".
Duration: The course will run over 8 Thursday evenings and 1 weekend.
Location: The course will take place at Hythe Sailing Club.
Dates: 19/26 June, 3/10/17/24/31 July, 7 August and the weekend 9/10 August.
Timings: 6pm to 9pm (instructor from 6pm). 9am to 5pm on the weekend.
The price is specially reduced for Club Members
from £370 to £310 (saving you £60!).
A set of plotters/dividers are required for the course. We can supply and deliver these for £28.
