Going Deeper - The Bodhisattva Ideal

In this six week series of Going Deeper sessions we’ll explore the Bodhisattva Ideal through meditation, talks and discussion.

How can we live an ideal life in such a challenging world? How can we be happy and at the same time responsive to the suffering of others? The Bodhisattva’s life exemplifies the resolution of the conflict between our own desires and the needs of others. Sustained by deep understanding gained through meditation and reflection, the Bodhisattva works tirelessly for the benefit of all. the development of inner calm and positivity that leads to wisdom is balanced by a genuine and active concern for others which flower into great compassion.

During our Saturday Going Deeper drop-in sessions we explore aspects of Buddhist teaching and practice throughout the year. They are open to all although best to attend the earlier Learn to Meditate session of you are entirely new to meditation.

These sessions are offered on a donation basis, drawing upon the Buddhist practice of dana - generosity. Please give what you can to support the centre to share the Buddha’s teachings more widely.
