ISKCON’s Founder-Acarya, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, passed on in November 1977 in Vrindavana, India.

According to Krishna-conscious culture, the appearance and disappearance of devotees are considered all-auspicious. We believe that the appearance and disappearance of Krishna, who is complete in eternality, knowledge, and bliss, and that of His pure representatives, are causes for celebration. While there is no need to lament, at the same time, we feel pangs of separation from His Divine Grace.
