Souter sponsored abseil

Do you dare to tackle the tower? We're offering a handful of brave people a rare chance to abseil down the lighthouse under the expert guidance of outdoor activity specialists Pinpoint Adventure. It's all for a good cause; you'll be helping us repair footpaths, clifftop safety barriers and fencing along the coast, maintain Whitburn Local Nature Reserve and pay for seed to feed the birds.

We'll provide you with a sponsorship form and, by raising a minimum of £80, you play your part in looking after Souter to benefit people and wildlife.

Suitable for children aged 8 years and over. This event requires you to be able to climb the 76 steps to the top of the lighthouse and climb over the railing on the outside of the walkway. Level access is available for spectators.
