Join us for the highly anticipated continuation of Poetry for the Masses, a poetry workshop series led by writer Alejandra Roggero, that strives to make poetry and the radical joy of art accessible to all. The theme for this workshop is The Working Hour: Poems on the 9-5, and we’re back at it again alongside our amazing partners, Burden of Proof—a non alcoholic bottle shop and market located in the heart of South Pasadena. Their drinks and vibes were a HIT last month–the perfect place for our crazy crew of artists, and we’re so glad to be back.
The Working Hour is for both beginner and advanced writers who are looking to explore themselves, their creative abilities, and try something new alongside the theme. We’ll write together, exploring themes of labor, identity, passion, and time, with two guided prompt exercises. Poetry and community will be the vehicle as we laugh and reflect on what our jobs mean to us, what we mean to society, and where our passions lie outside of our 9-5’s.
As always, in case you are new here, Poetry for the Masses events are open to all peoples and bodies, as well as artists and creatives of all levels, interests, and disciplines.
