Small Wonders: Dorset Brooches 1-day workshop with Margo-Lynne Lee

Make a small, hand stitched brooch made from cotton threads secured to a small brass ring, woven base and embellished with French knots.

Your tutor Margo-Lynne will teach you the hand-stitching techniques such as Blanket Stitch, Back Stitch, Chain Stitch and French Knots.

You will practise these stitches onto a piece of calico before covering a brass ring with beautiful threads, embellishing with French knots and attaching a brooch pin.

Margo-Lynne will provide each student with a kit containing everything you need for the workshop: brass ring, needle, threads, sewing cotton & small piece of felt, brooch pin and a small pair of scissors, plus workshop notes. You will be able to choose your colours.

Recommended: bring their own personal light.
