Lapford Mill Miniature Steam Railway - Express Your Interest!

We have been posting a lot of photos lately of Alistair's beautiful 7.25 gauge Lyn, a steam locomotive and her two carriages.

We need to hear from you! Would you be keen to see Lyn operating here regularly?

Alistair is planning to steam Lyn this Saturday about midday! If you can’t pop down in person then do please register your interest & support on our website to get email updates!

Although we are not yet able to offer a 'ride-able' attraction, the hope is that Lapford Mill can host a complete loop of track and operate Lyn for passenger visitors, along with a number of similar engines sometime in the future. The track and entire infrastructure is ‘portable’ so no permanent fixtures are planned, however there is still a lot of work to do and a lot of ‘track’ ahead!

We believe that an attraction like this would be a significant benefit to our local visitor economy and a lot of fun! So whether you are an eager volunteer, an enthralled enthusiast (or the parent of one!) WE NEED TO HEAR YOUR SUPPORT!

Watch out for our occasional Steam-up days when Alistair an the Steam Team will be on hand to demonstrate the idea and answer any questions (we hope!!)
