Introduction to Black Powder Rifles at Platte River State Park

Never shot a black powder rifle before? Interested in learning about Black Powder Rifles? Join us for our Introduction to Black Powder Rifles class! This class makes getting started in shooting very easy – and, thanks to NSSF partnership (National Shooting Sports Foundation), it’s only $10! Here you will learn about different types of black powder rifles as well as an introduction to the safe and recreational use of black powder rifles, shooting techniques, and hunting opportunities. All equipment is provided, please do not bring your own firearms or ammunition. Closed-neck shirts and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Must be age 10 to attend. Students aged 18 and under must be accompanied by their legal parent/guardian. Price is $10 per participant. Payment is due at time of arrival.
