The Basic Course consists training sessions that occur in a group setting limited to 6–8 dogs. This small group format ensures that each participant receives ample attention and can benefit from personalized guidance, making the training experience effective and engaging for both dogs and owners.
Focus Areas
Throughout these sessions, we place a strong emphasis on teaching the “foundations of impulse control”. This critical aspect of training enables dogs to learn how to manage their urges and behave appropriately in various situations. Key activities include:
- Loose Leash Walking: Learn techniques to help your dog walk calmly by your side, reducing unwanted pulling and making walks more enjoyable.
- Social Interactions: Prepare your dog for encounters with other dogs and people, fostering confidence and politeness in social settings.
- Prevention of Prey Drive: Instill commands that discourage chasing behavior, crucial for keeping your dog safe in outdoor environments.
