📌Where? Sugarloaf and Townsend Hill Loop @ Sooke Hills Wilderness Regional Park Reserve
🚗How? from TCH south, go Right onto W Shore Parkway and straight through the next 2 roundabouts. Continue to next roundabout and take 1st exit to stay on W Shore Parkway. In about 2.5 kms, turn right onto BC-14 W (Sooke Rd). In about 3.3 kms you will be turning right into the Sooke Hills Wilderness Regional Park South - which comes up fast. (see maps under the Discussion tab)
🥾Terrain? steep and hilly sections, may be some scrambling (see below)
⌚How long? Approximately 6kms round // 2-2.5 hours

From AllTrails: Sugarloaf and Townsend Hill Loop is a challenging but rewarding hike with great signage and fantastic views. The parking lot at the trailhead has ample space. There are washroom facilities before you head on your way. The main trail is a steady ascent with some steep sections. There is also some light scrambling if you choose to summit. Enjoy the woods and keep an eye out for wildlife.
