From surfing garage rock to soulful Americana, Jacob’s journey has been anything but ordinary. Growing up, he picked up a guitar at eleven and started by worshipping AC/DC. Over time he evolved—fronting a bluegrass band, penning heartfelt originals, and eventually launching a solo project rooted in real stories.

In 2021, he formed the Jacob Benning Trio alongside longtime mate Will Cotter (drums) and bassist Kevin Cole. Their sound blends rock, blues, and honest storytelling, brought alive by tight grooves and emotional vocals.
