Nature Arts Day at St. Mary Magdalene, Tanworth -in-Arden

Nature Arts Day is hosted by Tanworth in Arden Church and Ethical Arts and is aimed at 6-12 year olds and their parents/carers. We are running different workshops throughout the day. Please follow the booking link to choose your workshops.

Parents/carers are expected to stay onsite. There will be a cafe style area to relax/work from, hot drinks and treats will be available. Younger children may need assistance during some of the activities. You remain responsible for your child at all times. Some of our workshops are open to parents/carers to book their own spot and create alongside their child.
If you are coming to morning and afternoon workshops feel free to bring your own lunch to eat at the church.
We will also have a free arts table for children and parents/carers to make use throughout the day.
Morning workshops
Autumn Bunting (10-11.30am)
Workshop by Sarah from Ethical Arts
We will be using beautiful papers to create our autumn inspired bunting which we can use to celebrate a special event or do decorate our homes and bedrooms. This workshop is suitable for adults and children. All materials provided

Storytelling 1 (11.30am - 12noon)
Workshop by Author Shiloh McMillion
Join Young Author and Literacy Champion, Shiloh McMillion for this Storytelling workshop. Shiloh will be sharing some of his favourite stories including his own work, listen, discuss and enjoy them as a group. He will then lead the group in looking at a dramatic scene from a story and will invite the group to create their own endings. All participants will have the opportunity to take home a free book from The Literacy Trust.

Autumn Macramé Leaves (12.30pm - 2pm)
Workshop by Hafsa, an Artist & Maker
Join Hafsa in creating these beautiful handcrafted macramé leaves to decorate your room and celebrate the autumn season. This session is suitable for children and adults from 7+
Ages 7+

Autumn Marbling (2-3pm)
Workshop by Sarah from Ethical Arts
Create your own marble papers in Autumnal colours. Use these to create your own bookmarks & greeting cards. This workshop is suitable for children & adults. If you have a child age 6-7 you will be required to work with your child (you only need to book for child). 8+ can work independently, you are welcome to book a space to work alongside them.
