=== That Was The Year That Was – 1963 ===
– Illustrated talk by Geoff Plumb
*** PLEASE NOTE new earlier start time of 19:15. ***
Geoff was born in Sheffield in 1949, into a railway-mad family, starting his railway enthusiasm at the age of around 18 months. After some early attempts with the family Box Brownie camera in the 1950s, he was given his first 'proper' camera for his thirteenth birthday, in March 1962 – this eventually leading to his career as a Television Cameraman.
Continuing from 1962, this evening's presentation will feature a further selection of Geoff's high quality images (both black & white and colour) taken around the country during 1963.

The engine is already carrying 'Class One' headcode lamps and the train headboard. Geoff Plumb – Saturday 24th August 1963." [Photo: © Geoff Plumb]"
